Note: Each group will need a leader for this workshop series who will register all group members, lead teamwork throughout the learning experience and plan with the team ahead of and in between the Next Education Workforce-led sessions.

Frequently asked questions

Depending on your system size, we recommend you bring a team of 3-8 people with expertise or experience in various areas, as doing so will best equip you to make informed decisions about how your system engages in this transformative change. Areas of expertise or experience to consider include: 

  • District leadership and decision-making
  • Teaching and learning 
  • Human resources 
  • District-wide communication and stakeholder engagement
  • Union/association perspective 
  • School-level leadership

  • Decide if, when and how broadly you are ready to pilot team-based models
  • Articulate your “why” for team-based models and set goals for educators and learners
  • Select your pilot school(s) and guiding coalition
  • Create a plan for engaging your community in shaping your vision
  • Strengthen your culture for innovation
  • Identify and address financial, human resources and policy opportunities and barriers
  • Create a support plan and timeline for your pilot

Yes, attendance at either an Arizona Site Visit or Explore Experience is required before attending System Readiness. 

Your system team will engage in three independent meetings in between the two ASU-facilitated sessions and will build a Pilot Plan.
