In just seven years, Next Education Workforce team-based models have grown from one school in a single state to 128 schools across 16 states and two countries. A national first: North Dakota’s new approach to team-teaching

This year, North Dakota became the first state in the nation to be approved by the U.S. Department of Labor for a Lead Teacher Registered Apprenticeship, a major milestone in rethinking how schools can recruit, develop and retain educators.


Recently, educators from North Dakota schools and the North Dakota Department of Public Instruction, led by NDDPI Chief of Program Development and Growth Laurie Matzke, visited Arizona to learn more about the role of Lead Teachers and visit schools with team-based strategic school staffing models.
