Every year, the Strategic School Staffing Summit brings together hundreds of educators, leaders, policymakers and advocates who are rethinking how schools are staffed. Over two days of virtual learning, attendees share ideas, strategies, practices and conditions that enable a more diverse, team-based education workforce.
This is your chance to help shape the conversation.
The Call for Proposals for the 2026 Summit, hosted virtually on February 4–5, is now open. View the form to learn more and apply. We encourage submissions from individuals or co-presenters representing one or multiple organizations and proposals should align with one or more of our content strands:
- Teams of educators with distributed expertise
- Team-enabled, high-quality instruction
- Entry, preparation, and advancement pathways in team-based models
- Technology/artificial intelligence in team-based models
This year, presenters can choose from a variety of session formats, from focused presentations and panels to interactive breakouts, deep dives and networking sessions. No matter the format, we’re looking for sessions that share actionable insights, surface lessons learned and highlight strategies or conditions that can inform strategic school staffing efforts.
Key dates:
- Sept. 2, 2025: Call for proposals opens
- Sept. 29, 2025: Proposal submission deadline (11:59 p.m. PDT)
- Oct. 17, 2025: Acceptance notifications
- Feb. 4–5, 2026: Summit sessions (live, virtual)
If you’ve been doing work that others can learn from, whether in the classroom, at the system level, or through research and policy, we’d love to hear from you. Share your expertise, spark new ideas and help build the next education workforce.
