Strategic School Staffing Summit 2026

Help transform education with strategic school staffing.

Hosted by the Next Education Workforce™ initiative, the Strategic School Staffing Summit brings together hundreds of stakeholders from across the education ecosystem to share ideas, strategies, practices and conditions that enable a more diverse, team-based education workforce.

Sessions will feature research, policy, practice, and exemplars from the field, organized into four content strands:
  • Educator teams with distributed expertise: Explores the design, implementation and impact of educator teams with distributed expertise.
  • Team-enabled, high-quality instruction: Examines how educator teams are strengthening teaching and learning, the enabling conditions that make this possible and the impact on student outcomes.
  • Entry, specialization, and advancement pathways in team-based models: Reimagining preparation, career pathways, compensation and more so educators can enter, thrive, and grow within team-based models.
  • Technology / AI in team-based models: How is technology / AI being used to strengthen educator teams, improve instruction and expand learning opportunities for students.
Across all areas, you’ll hear actionable strategies, lessons learned, and examples of strategic school staffing in action.
