Krista Adams

Leadership Coach, Next Education Workforce

As a Leadership Coach for the Next Education Workforce, Krista collaborates with school and department leaders to transform the one teacher, one classroom traditional model of education to team based models. In these models, educator teams are intentionally designed with distributed expertise to provide deeper, personalized learning for a shared roster of students. This results in better outcomes for our students and increased job satisfaction for our educators.

Prior to this role, Krista has served as a teacher, Title I facilitator and school administrator for over 21 years in Arizona. For five years, she was the proud principal of Stevenson Elementary in Mesa Public Schools, where she partnered with ASU to build a schoolwide Next Education Workforce model. Under her leadership, seven teams of educators were empowered to deliver deeper, personalized learning experiences for a diverse group of multi-age learners through an inquiry based model.
